Why This Role Matters:

This isn't a desk job—it's a dynamic role where you'll be out in the community making real connections and real change:

  • Build Meaningful Partnerships: Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, religious groups, hospitals, civic organizations, and social service agencies throughout the Gift of Hope donor service area
  • Create Impactful Programs: Design and implement innovative programs, projects, and special events that increase public awareness and drive organ donation registration rates in the communities we serve
  • Lead Community Engagement: Complete a minimum of ten (10) community engagements per month, bringing the message of hope directly to those who need to hear it
  • Develop Signature Events: Create and execute one signature event per year that showcases the importance of organ and tissue donation
  • Empower Volunteers: Work with our Volunteer Coordinator to lead a volunteer chapter within your assigned communities, coordinating Ambassadors for Hope volunteers to amplify our mission
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Donation Coordinators and Donation Liaisons to develop hospital community outreach programs and participate in donation committees
  • Tell Powerful Stories: Contribute to monthly newsletters, social media platforms, and our website, sharing compelling content that inspires action

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (this is essential!)
  • Bachelor's degree in community relations, business, marketing, or a related field, OR equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of experience in community relations or not-for-profit public relations (healthcare environment experience is a plus)
  • Proven experience coordinating events and programs with community partners
  • Track record of developing and executing successful community-based programs and events
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Natural ability to cultivate and maintain community-based partnerships
  • Exceptional communication skills and comfort working with diverse audiences
