Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the efficient day-to-day operations of our Myerstown office. This role reports to the Firm Administrator and is essential to delivering excellent client service and supporting our professional staff.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week, one-hour lunch)
We will also consider part-time candidates available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (full days).
Key Responsibilities
Client & Office Support
- Answer, screen, and transfer incoming phone calls
- Welcome and direct visitors and clients with a professional, friendly demeanor
- Set up conference room technology for client meetings
- Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate upkeep of equipment and building
Administrative & Clerical
- Scan documents and files daily as work arrives
- Sort incoming mail, stamp outgoing mail, and run to the post office as needed
- Direct faxes to the appropriate staff member
- Process tax and non-tax-related mailings, questionnaires, and letters
- Maintain petty cash records and expense tracking
- Print financial reports as needed
Accounting Support
- Assist in filing sales tax returns and processing payroll and 1099s
- Contact vendors to request W-9s as needed
- Support bookkeepers by pulling sales reports, bank and credit card statements, and restoring QuickBooks files
- Pull files from Qount and related accounting programs
Tax Season
- Scan client files and assist with e-filing tax returns
- Print, package, and prepare tax return extensions
- Meet with clients to review and sign e-file authorization forms
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required)
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills and comfort speaking with clients

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
