Role Description The Associate Attorney will work full time on-site at the firm’s Providence, RI office, supporting partners and senior attorneys across a variety of matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents, and providing well-reasoned legal advice under supervision. The role involves assisting with case strategy, preparing for motion hearings and coordinating with opposing counsel and third parties as needed. The Associate Attorney will help manage case files, ensure deadlines are met, and contribute to maintaining high professional and ethical standards. Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in Litigation.
- Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law and apply them to client matters.
- Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice, translate complex legal concepts into accessible guidance, and support strategic decision-making.
- Advanced Research skills, including efficient use of legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and careful analysis of legal authorities.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Rhode Island Bar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities for managing multiple matters and deadlines.
- Demonstrated professionalism, ethical judgment, and ability to collaborate in a team-based environment while working independently when needed.
- Experience in medical malpractice defense a plus.
