What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Coordinator position at Gidel & Kocal Construction Company, Inc.?
The Project Coordinator helps with bid collection, schedule development, the permitting process, issuing and tracking change-orders and RFIs as appropriate and in a timely manner, preparing subcontract agreements and coordinating subcontractors. They review and approve project related invoices, take meeting minutes during jobsite meetings, and prepare and present submittals all while providing office support for our team in the field.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate activities, resources, equipment and information for multiple projects, under the supervision of Project Managers.
· Read plans to verify and check all incoming submittals.
· Help prepare project proposals, change orders, submittals, RFIs, schedules and budgets.
· Use project management software to enter work authorizations, change orders and track project status.
· Issue all appropriate project related paperwork to the appropriate party.
· Work closely with Project Managers and work together to ensure all project objectives are met.
· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, files, RFI logs, submittal logs, change order logs and reports.
· Send out Invitations to Bid to subcontractors. Call subcontractors to follow-up and confirm job walk attendance.
· Input all project information and documentation into Field Management Software and make sure it is updated on a regular basis.
· Collect and organize bids by trade, ensuring that all bids are received by the due date.
· Attend and take meeting minutes during all project meetings.
· Apply for and obtain permits from city building departments.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in working with Construction Project managers facilitating the successful completion of projects a plus.
· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid Driver’s License.
