Medical Services LPNs are responsible for assisting the Medical Services staff in the day-to-day operation of Medical Services, documentation/charting of client records and assisting residential staff in client supervision/treatment operations.

- Associates degree in nursing or further nursing degree and an Indiana LPN license is required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Submit to and pass all required background checks.
1. Assist the Medical Services staff in the general performance of any and all medical service responsibilities.
2. Assist in or provide supervision of clients during on-campus doctor’s appointments or client trainings.
3. Transport and supervise client s during medical, dental, optical, or other health care appointments off-campus, as assigned.
4. Dispense prescribed medication(s) as trained by the Nursing Administrator and maintain accurate records of medication distribution.
5. Supervise clients in the hospital or at appointment.
6. Supervise clients’ physical, mental, and emotional status and report need for further consultation.
7. Assist the Nursing Administrator in administrative tasks related to maintaining accurate medical records for clients.
8. Assist the Nursing Administrator, Medical Services staff, and residential staff in activities related to client and staff trainings.
9. Evaluate work related injuries and make an initial recommendation regarding initial treatment and referral for further medical attention.
10. Administer annual Mantoux TB tests to staff and report the results to Human Resources.
11. Part time and PRN status nurses must work a minimum of 16 hours per calendar quarter to maintain to maintain their employment status.
12. Take regular inventory of own emotional well-being. Develop and adhere to a self-care plan to promote wellness and prevent burnout.
13. Perform all other duties as assigned.
