The Responsibilities of the position
are as follows:
- Perform financial statement engagements such as audits,
compilations, reviews, agreed-upon procedures, etc.
- Obtain an understanding of the firm's policies, procedures, and
software applications.
- Can run all aspects of an assurance job under the supervision of
more experienced staff. These jobs should receive minimal points that are
associated only with complex issues and not careless errors.
- Review of complete financial statements and by junior staff.
- Demonstrate assertiveness and eagerness to take on new and
challenging assignments.
- Comprehending, approach, and task completion are critical
attributes that must be developed.
- An advisor to our clients by presenting advice.
- Train, supervise and be accountable for staff.
- Encouraged to make progress with the CPA Exam
- Keep abreast of current events, not just accounting and tax,
through various news media, i.e., Wall Street Journal, New York Times, etc.
Requirements
- Assurance professional with minimum 5 years of solid experience gained within a public accounting firm with little job movement.
- Strong experience in reviewing junior staff’s work, at least 2 years.
- Experience with financial statement preparation (including compilation and review engagements)
- Ability to analyze financial statements and preparation of journal entries.
- Communication skills to correspond with clients directly.
- Ability to work both independently and in group settings.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Positions can be onsite or hybrid, no remote positions will be considered at this time.
Salary : $85,000 - $150,000
