What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief of Staff position at Ghost?
Founding Chief of Staff | AI Personalization Startup | Ex-Spotify & Google Founders | NYC
Ghost is partnering with an early-stage AI startup building the next generation of real-time personalization for the internet.
As attention becomes the scarcest resource, brands can no longer rely on static experiences. This team is addressing that shift by building a modular AI engine that continuously learns from user behavior and dynamically adapts digital experiences in real time — from product discovery through to conversion.
The vision is simple but powerful:
bring Spotify-level personalization to every online business.
Why this company
The founding team brings deep experience from Spotify, Google, and BCG, combining strong technical and strategic backgrounds. The company is approaching a key inflection point, with a public launch planned for Fall 2025.
With a 13-person team, they are operating with focus and speed at the intersection of AI, e-commerce, and customer experience — a space with significant market pull and long-term potential.
This is an opportunity to join just before go-to-market and play a meaningful role in shaping the company’s trajectory.
The role: Founding Chief of Staff

- Owning investor and customer communications, including board decks and reporting
- Establishing the company’s operating cadence (OKRs, planning, leadership rhythms)
- Supporting go-to-market efforts through sales enablement and strategic frameworks
- Acting as a force multiplier to the CEO across high-priority initiatives
- Launching and managing new projects with a high degree of autonomy
What they’re looking for
- 3–6 years of experience across consulting or banking and early-stage startups-0-1
- Experience operating in small teams (ideally sub-50 people)
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Comfort with financials (P&L, modeling) and SaaS concepts
- High ownership mindset with a low-ego approach
- Bonus: exposure to e-commerce, martech, or personalization
