Senior Accountant

We are a growing CPA firm committed to delivering exceptional financial, tax, and advisory services to our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of postings.
• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively.
• Clean up and maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring proper classification of transactions.
• Prepare and review journal entries with a strong understanding of debits and credits.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments and clients to ensure accurate and complete financial data.
• Utilize Great Plains to manage and report on financial transactions (strongly preferred).
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; Great Plains experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
