💰 Full-Time Hourly: $31.25– $33.65/hour
Reports to: HR Payroll & Benefits Compliance Specialist
We’re hiring an experienced HR and Payroll Specialist to support payroll and HR operations for a growing multi-company, multi-state organization. This role focuses on employee lifecycle management, payroll processing, tax compliance, certified payroll reporting, and prevailing wage compliance. Individual must be self-motivated, able to work with and without supervision, and be able to communicate and work effectively with a variety of individuals in a confidential and professional manner. Paycom experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
· Process bi-weekly payroll across multiple entities
· Prepare certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
· Manage payroll data including earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
· Prepare payroll reporting and reconciliations using Excel
· Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
· Assist with payroll audits and compliance reporting
· Support year-end payroll activities including W-2s
· Facilitate employee lifecycle management (hires, onboarding, training, terminations, pay changes)
· Performs routine HR tasks related to compensation, benefits, and leave; disputes and investigations; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Qualifications
· 5 years payroll processing and HR experience
· Experience with certified payroll preparation and prevailing wage jobs
· Multi-state and multi-company payroll experience
· Paycom experience preferred
· Competency in Microsoft Office 365 - excel and word processing (reporting, reconciliations, payroll data analysis)
· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
