Supplier Quality Engineer
6-month contract
Onsite Sunnyvale, CA
Must be able to work on a W2
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer with a strong background in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace, automotive, etc.) to support supplier performance, quality, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier quality metrics (VR, SCR, SCAR) and report to leadership
- Support Part Production Qualification Process (PPQP), including FMEA, validations, process capability, MSA, capacity analysis, and FAIR
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) improvements with suppliers
- Lead supplier investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions (SCARs, SCRs)
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives
- Drive suppliers to meet excellence standards in quality, capacity, and sub-tier management
- Provide technical support for failure analysis and corrective actions
- Manage multiple projects, communicate status, and collaborate across teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
- Skills in root cause analysis, GD&T, FMEA
- Background in regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, automotive, etc.)
