Project Manager
12-month Contract

Requirements
- Manage and direct the activities and people associated with small to large scale projects focused on non-IT business applications and disciplines
- Manage and direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the full project life cycle
- Collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and users to identify project scope and focus
- Develop or monitor project initiatives and implement project requirements, plans, processes, and tools
- Assign, guide, and monitor project staff to ensure project success
- Deliver project solutions within defined budgets and/or timelines
- Provide project guidance and support proactively through project completion
- Provide tracking, reporting, and presentations to management and users
- Manage the development and implementation process of products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams
- Estimate project levels of effort and resource requirements using standard estimating techniques and tools
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets using project management tools such as Microsoft Project
- Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans
- Assure project quality using standard development methodologies
- Communicate project status through standard reports and participation in status update meetings
- Resolve project issues by working with team members, project customers, and other stakeholders
- Consult with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and mentoring junior project leaders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of related work experience
- Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures
- General understanding of business unit/group function
- Experience working in a quality system environment
- Ability to perform tasks in compliance with governmental regulations
- Ability to work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of situations or data
- Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices
- Broad knowledge of technical alternatives and understanding of their impact on systems environment
