Position Summary
Our client, a global biopharmaceutical company, is hiring a Bioanalytical Scientist to provide technical support for drug discovery and development studies. This role will support non-GLP bioanalysis, with a primary focus on LC-MS/MS analysis and biological sample preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with wet-lab sample preparation, biological sample clean-up, LC-MS/MS analysis, data processing, and scientific documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and participate in assigned bioanalytical technical activities within established timelines and budgets.
- Independently manage assigned projects and technical tasks with minimal supervision.
- Perform biological sample preparation, clean-up, and LC-MS/MS analysis.
- Support method development and experimental design for project-specific bioanalytical methods.
- Process and interpret data and ensure results meet established criteria.
- Document experimental procedures, data, results, and conclusions.
- Prepare technical reports and communicate project progress and results to internal stakeholders and collaborators.
- Conduct literature searches and apply current bioanalytical methodologies to experimental design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to support drug discovery and development programs.
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company procedures, applicable policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage priorities and timelines effectively while maintaining a high level of technical quality.
- Participate in continuous professional and technical development.
Qualifications
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Bioanalytical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- 0–4 years of research laboratory and/or industry experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS.
- Experience with biological sample preparation and sample clean-up.
- Strong understanding of wet-lab techniques and bioanalytical workflows.
- Experience with bioanalytical method development and experimental design.
- Ability to independently execute experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Experience with Sciex Analyst or Analyst OS is a plus, but not required.
- Strong scientific writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and present scientific data and project results.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate data.
- Experience working in cross-disciplinary research environments is preferred.
