Position Summary
The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing onsite Human Resources support at the HAGA facility overseeing the below for the GFA Alabama, Inc. Employees and Staffing Agency Employees. This position will serve as a primary onsite HR contact and assist with workforce planning, staffing coordination, employee-related matters, temporary staffing agency communication, and general HR administration.
The HR Coordinator will work closely with GFA management, temporary staffing agencies, employees, and the customer to help ensure staffing requirements and HR-related needs are addressed accurately and timely.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Workforce Planning & Staffing
- Monitor daily and upcoming workforce requirements based on operational needs.
- Coordinate staffing needs with onsite management and Human Resources.
- Communicate hiring and staffing requirements to temporary staffing agencies.
- Monitor staffing levels, vacancies, attendance trends, and additional workforce needs.
- Assist with coordinating new hires, temporary employees, replacements, and other staffing changes.
- Follow up with staffing agencies regarding candidate availability, employee attendance, replacements, and staffing concerns.
Temporary Staffing Agency Coordination
- Maintain regular communication with approved temporary staffing agencies.
- Provide agencies with updated staffing requirements and workforce requests.
- Follow up regarding employee attendance, performance concerns, assignment changes, and separations.
- Maintain accurate records of temporary employees assigned to the facility.
- Assist with resolving staffing discrepancies and communicating changes to appropriate parties.
Employee & HR Support
- Serve as an onsite point of contact for routine employee HR questions and concerns.
- Receive, document, and appropriately escalate employee relations or HR-related issues.
- Follow up on open HR matters to ensure appropriate resolution and documentation.
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, employee documentation, and other HR administrative processes.
- Maintain organized and confidential employee and HR records.
- Support attendance tracking and other employee-related documentation as needed.
- Communicate company policies, procedures, and HR information to employees as directed by Human Resources management.
Customer & Management Communication
- Coordinate with the customer regarding staffing levels, workforce requirements, employee-related concerns, and other onsite HR needs.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with customer representatives and onsite management.
- Provide staffing updates and HR-related information as requested.
- Escalate significant employee relations, staffing, compliance, or operational concerns to appropriate GFA management.
HR Administration
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, staffing records, employee documentation, and other required information.
- Assist with tracking new hires, separations, attendance, staffing agency employees, and other workforce data.
- Support onsite HR projects and administrative assignments.
- Ensure HR documentation is completed accurately and submitted within required timelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, company, and customer information.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned based on operational needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous Human Resources, staffing, recruiting, administrative, or warehouse/logistics experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, preferred.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, management, staffing agencies, and customer representatives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.
Work Environment
This position is based on the site at the HAGA facility and requires regular interaction with employees, operations management, customer representatives, and temporary staffing agencies. The HR Coordinator must be available onsite to address daily staffing and employee-related needs.
The position may require occasional movement throughout the warehouse or operational areas of the facility and flexibility in working hours based on staffing or operational requirements.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour
Approximate Annualized Compensation: $45,000 per year, based on a standard full-time schedule.
