The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the upkeep and repair of a hotel's physical plant, including its equipment, systems, and grounds. They ensure a safe and comfortable environment forguests and staff by performing preventative maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and addressing emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
- Implementing and managing a preventative maintenance programto minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of hotel assets.
- Responding promptly and effectively to emergency situations such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures.
- Addressing and resolving guest maintenance requestsefficiently and courteously.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to safetyregulations and protocols.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities,including repairs, inspections, and replacements.
- Working with other departments, such as housekeeping andsecurity, to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in various hotelequipment and systems.
- Assisting with the planning and execution of maintenanceprojects, including renovations and installations.
Skills and Qualifications:
TechnicalSkills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as HVAC and refrigeration.
Problem-Solving: Abilityto trouble shoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
