🔹 Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to support complex estate and probate matters. This role involves extensive document drafting, multi-jurisdictional filings across Florida, and independent case management.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in probate administration, IRS filings, and client communication, along with the ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented work efficiently.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and file probate documents including petitions, orders, inventories, and accountings
- Manage probate cases independently and track deadlines across all 67 Florida counties
- Prepare and maintain probate files and monitor case progress
- Handle court filings and ensure compliance with jurisdiction-specific procedures
- Assist with IRS filings, including Forms 706, 709, and related documents
- Support trust administration processes
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, and court personnel
- Prepare corporate documents (LLCs, corporations, partnerships, resolutions)
- Draft deeds and real estate-related documents
- Conduct legal research and assist with additional tasks as needed
- Manage electronic case files and track billable time
🔹 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of law firm experience (10 years preferred as a probate paralegal)
- Strong experience in estate and probate matters
- Experience working in high-volume legal environments
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
- Florida probate experience strongly preferred
- Large law firm experience
- Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) certification
🔹 Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with legal software such as iManage, Aderant, SmartTime
- Familiarity with EstateWorks (a plus)
