POSITION: ArcFlo Accounting Specialist (PT)
LOCATION: Kalamazoo, MI
RATE: $20 per hour
Part Time position (16 hours per week)
JOB SUMMARY
Perform routine and non-routine, moderately complex accounts receivable and accounts payable functions following established procedures to ensure efficient, timely and accurate recording. Develop and maintain excellent communication with our customers and suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Receivable
- Process A/R invoicing including reconciling orders, verifying that all parts have prices; data entry; balancing and filing reports.
- Process cash receipts balancing to deposits
- Actively pursue collections and work to resolve all collection disputes.
- Establish a positive working relationship with customers
- Balance and close A/R at month end
Accounts Payable
- Process all incoming invoices including reconciling purchase orders, receivers, and invoices, verify pricing, assigning account numbers as required, data entry, balancing and filing reports.
- Perform payment of invoices per company policy.
- Provide verification of all incoming statements from suppliers.
- Balance and close accounts payable at month end and year end.
- Research and trouble shoot discrepancies as they are discovered. Work with appropriate personnel to research and timely resolve discrepancies.
- Provide effective and timely follow through with internal and external inquiries.
- Establish a positive working relationship with suppliers.
Other
- Add standard cost to new parts
- Verify on hand inventory has standard and update standard per policy
- Analyze purchase price variance and report findings

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, with one plus years similar experience preferred
SKILLS, TALENTS AND/OR CHARACTERISTICS
- Basic math skills such as calculating fractions and percentages
- Excellent data entry skills
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
- File and retrieve organizational documents, records and reports
- Reliable and accurate self-starter with integrity and respect for confidentiality
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes
