Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students following all applicable district policies and state/federal regulations.
- Adhere to all school district rules and directives from school staff while on duty.
- Maintain a secure and calm environment for students on the bus.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Promptly report maintenance issues and ensure that the vehicle is properly fueled and clean.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with district policies and communicate effectively with relevant personnel.
- Assist passengers during emergencies and maintain route schedules with a focus on safety at all times.
- A valid Michigan Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with P & S endorsements.
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate and navigate a full-size or special-needs school bus.
- Basic knowledge of the Metro Detroit area and traffic regulations.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to handle stressful situations with empathy towards children and individuals with disabilities.
- Proficiency in English and eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Successful completion of a State and Federal Criminal Background Check.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a valid DOT medical card.
- Continued participation in professional training, including Advanced School Bus Driver Training every two years.

- Competitive Pay: Earn up to $30.00 per hour.
