At Get Decked Exteriors, we build custom decks and exterior projects across the region. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Carpenter’s Helper who wants to learn the trade, build quality work, and grow into a Lead Carpenter.
Operating Area
You will be working on job sites throughout Luzerne County, Lackawanna County, Wayne County, Wyoming County, Pike County, Susquehanna County.
Reliable transportation to reach these sites is a must.
What You’ll Do
- Assist Lead Carpenters with high-end deck builds and exterior projects.
- Handle job site setup, load/unload materials, and keep job sites clean and safe
- Get hands-on experience with framing, composite decking, and railing installations.
- Learn proper techniques, tool use, and professional building standards on the job.
Required Hand Tools & Gear
You must have (or be ready to get) your own basic tool set for daily work:
- Hand Tools: Hammer, Speed Square, Torpedo Level, Screwdrivers, Chisels, Razor Knife, Chalk Line, Tape Measure, Cat's Paw
- Power Tools & Accessories: Screw Gun or Impact Driver, Driver Bits, Assorted Nut Driver Set
- Storage: Tool Belt/Pouch, Tool Box or Tool Duffel
What We’re Looking For
- Work Ethic: You show up on time, every time, ready to work hard.
- Driver’s License & Ride: Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation are required. You must be able to get to job sites throughout our service area consistently.
- Coachability: You can take direction well and have a desire to improve your skills daily. There is also an opportunity to advance to a Lead Carpenter role.
- Attitude: A positive, team-player mindset is non-negotiable. Willingness to listen, take direction, and learn.
- Experience: Prior construction experience is great, but we will train the right person who has the drive to learn.
