The Production Manager works under the supervision of the Director of Production to manage and supervise the union production team which constructs beMatrix and GEM structures as well as custom elements. The Manager of Union Labor Crews has a very proactive role that includes job tracking, managing GES processes and procedures, information flow and interaction with other employees from various departments. Managing the process and information involves a high level of collaboration with internal and external owners including Department heads and Project Managers assigned to each show. Responsibilities include but are not limited to setting milestones and measuring risks that will ultimately affect each shows financial performance. Functions include measuring milestones to mitigating capacity risk, scheduling production and limiting financial exposure.

Responsibilities
- Track all work orders that are released to the warehouse for production.
- Supervise and manage union production team including scheduling, work in process, time recording, safety and equipment.
- Monitor product standards on all orders to ensure integrity. Team must provide superior GES service to all our customers ensuring pre-builds have been properly completed. All units must ship show ready.
- Lead, coach, support, motivate and train team members.
- Take an active role in the participation and preparation of the JUMP process in regard to pre-show planning, especially for major shows.
- Develop and utilize performance measurement tools that will clearly describe the capabilities of newly hired union personnel.
- Establish or adjust work procedures and labor schedules to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow.
- Provide superior service and delivery of quality products to our customers.
- Work with Project Management supplying information pertaining to Post Show reporting processes. Assist in documenting show issues and resolutions, plan vs. actual hours.
- Develop and ensure production SOPs and BPs are updated and implemented.
- Document unacceptable performance from direct reports and discipline as deemed necessary.
- Attend tailgate talks and weekly safety meetings.
- Manage show budgets, overhead budgets and depot overhead budget.
- Manage department expenses for show and overhead purchases.
- Manage Carpenter 1977 labor agreement and discipline
- Manage capital plan and bulk materials for city operations.
- Manage Official storage process.
- Manage floor capacity issues and plan for future events.
- Manage annual inventory process.
- Manage shipping and receiving department.
- Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the Director of Production.
- 3-5 years in production and/or warehouse experience
- Supervisory experience, preferably in a union work environment is preferred
- Experience in a carpenter shop a plus
- OSHA training a plus
- Knowledge of the convention industry, preferred
- Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines
- Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player and be a self-starter with an understanding of team and productivity goals
- Work in the Las Vegas Warehouse. Temperature can fluctuate, there is a noise factor from movement of forklifts and equipment, some fumes from forklift
- Position requires walking, standing on concrete surface
- This position will require working some nights and weekends based on our business needs.
