What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Germer PLLC?
Germer PLLC is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide high-level support to attorneys and assigned team members in our Insurance/Personal Injury Defense and Products Liability teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the docket from inception of a lawsuit through trial and/or final dismissal.
This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong professional administrative experience, and the ability to think independently in a fast-paced legal environment. A successful candidate will maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism while managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with case management from inception thorough resolution
- Draft, prepare, and revise pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents
- Coordinate court filings and e-filing
- Organize and maintain case files and documents productions
- Track deadlines and maintain calendars
- Subpoenaing medical records
- Retention and coordination of expert witnesses
- Assist with deposition and trial preparations
- Provide additional administrative and litigation support as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of recent litigation paralegal experience, preferably in defense litigation
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, and case management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Paralegal Certificate or degree in legal studies is preferred, but not required
