We are seeking qualified, experienced candidates for the part-time position of voice instructor beginning the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for an individual that is available 2-3 days a week to give in-person instruction during the school day. The compensation is highly competitive and based on studio enrollment.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, instruct, and retain students (6-12th grades) on voice annually
- Capability to teach a wide range of ability levels, from basic music literacy to college preparatory instruction
- Proficiency in and openness to a variety of music genres
- Prepare students for and attend a yearly studio recital
- Collaborate with Choir Director and Musical Theatre Director on preparing students for their performances
- Demonstrate commitment to departmental engagements including collaborative interaction with performing arts faculty and staff
- Work closely with the Private Music Lesson Coordinator to help lead a growing studio
- Organize studio lesson schedules, working with students to set a lesson time
- Communicate regularly with families and respond to issues involving private lesson scheduling
- Ensure that all rules and policies of the private lesson program are followed judiciously
- Responsible for identifying new program needs and possibilities for expansion as they arise
- A minimum of two years teaching experience is required
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in vocal performance or music education with vocal emphasis is required, or equivalent teaching/performance experience
- Exhibit master vocal performance skills, including classical, popular, and jazz styles
- Demonstrate proficient piano skills, as needed for teaching one-on-one vocal instruction
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities
- Previous experience as a voice instructor and a significant choral background strongly preferred
