Germanna Community College is in search of a Employee Lifecycle Coordinator.
The Employee Lifecycle Coordinator provides essential support in the administration of human resources functions, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding for classified and wage staff. This position collaborates closely with hiring managers, shared services, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and seamless employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage recruitment processes for classified and wage positions in compliance with VCCS policies and state regulations.
- Post job vacancies and assist hiring managers with candidate selection.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure timely communication with applicants.
- Facilitate onboarding activities, including new hire orientation and completion of required documentation.
- Ensure smooth offboarding processes, including exit interviews and separation paperwork.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee records during transitions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.
- Work with shared services and other HR team members to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to VCCS, state, and federal employment regulations.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to recruitment and staffing activities.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders in a medium-sized organization.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and applicable laws/regulations.
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding within a higher education or public sector.
- Familiarity with VCCS policies and procedures.
