Gering Public Schools is seeking an energetic and skilled Assistant Cheerleading Coach to help lead our cheer team in supporting school events, athletic competitions, and community performances for the 2026-27 school year!
The Assistant Cheerleading Coach is responsible for helping to organizie, supervise, and instruct the cheer team, foster a positive environment that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and school pride under the guidance of the head coach.
Qualifications
Previous experience in cheerleading and/or coaching (preferred).
Knowledge of stunting techniques, choreography, and cheer safety guidelines.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
Certification in CPR/First Aid and/or AACCA or NFHS Cheer Safety Certification preferred.
Must pass background check per school policy.
