What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Coach - Varsity Boys Wrestling position at Gering Public Schools?
Gering Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified candiate to assist in our wrestling program for the 2026-27 school year!
Coaches are responsible for supporting the program organization, conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athlets in game strategies and techniques. To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess general knowledge of the sport's rules and regulations, and be willing to promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and the value of education. Additionally, qualified candidates must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
In-district and out-of-town travel required as necessary for training and/or to carry out essential duties and responsibilities.
The Board of Education, in conjunction with the Superintendent and the Gering Education Association, annual review the compensation format and needs of our staff in order to keep a competitive pay structure in place. Additional information, and coaching (extra duty) salary schedules may be reviewed on the District's website HERE.
