What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Machinist position at Gerhard Designing & Manufacturing, Inc?
Successful manufacturing company looking for CNC Machinist to perform a variety of functions with great concentration and precision. Must have a keen eye for detail and a high mechanical aptitude. We produce high quality parts and are looking for a competent person(s) to perform these tasks.
This is a full time 1st. shift position. The ideal candidate will be capable of programming and operating lathes for various types of large and or small parts with close tolerances. We are not a production shop so the parts will vary from day to day. In return we offer a competitive salary with benefits. Please include your relevant experience.
- Perform part programming of CNC lathes (Master-cam).
- Perform job Set-up and verification of machine feeds and speeds.
- Operate CNC machines making parts with a variety of materials.
- Perform Machine adjustments (tool and work piece offsets).
- 2-3 years CNC Lathe set-up and operating experience.
- Prior experience in programming with any of the following: Master-cam or G-Code
