A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to produce high-quality, precision components in a low-volume, high-mix environment.
This is a hands-on role for a machinist who enjoys challenging setups, reading detailed prints, making adjustments at the machine, and taking ownership of part quality from first piece through final inspection.

What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC horizontal lathes
- Machine precision steel and industrial-metal components
- Read blueprints, GD&T, tolerances, and work instructions
- Select tooling, set work and tool offsets, and adjust cutting parameters
- Make basic program edits and machine adjustments as needed
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision tools
- Troubleshoot dimensional, tooling, and machining issues
- Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and housekeeping
- 3 years of CNC lathe or CNC turning experience preferred
- Strong setup and operation experience on CNC lathes
- Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Experience making tooling, offset, and basic program adjustments
- Strong precision-measurement and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and take pride in quality craftsmanship
- Large shafts, gears, gearboxes, or heavy industrial components
- Custom machining, job-shop, prototype, or low-volume/high-mix work
- Steel, mining, oil and gas, power generation, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery applications
