Job Description:
Job Summary
The Program Manager leads the end-to-end management of strategic programs encompassing IT infrastructure, software engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise systems (including Workday), and cross-functional initiatives. This role operates within a mixed methodology environment (Agile, Waterfall, and product team-led efforts) , shaping delivery strategy, driving execution, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Key responsibilities include coordinating complex projects, managing program resources, overseeing governance and financial aspects, and managing stakeholder and sponsor communications. The Program Manager is also crucial for successful solution deployment across distributed organizational footprints, including field locations , and must effectively lead enterprise-wide organizational change management (OCM) to ensure adoption and smooth transitions
Key Job Responsibilities
Program Leadership:
- Develops the overall program approach, including timeframes and deliverables, by tailoring delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to project needs.
- Coordinates cross-functional project teams across IT domains (cybersecurity, enterprise applications like Workday, infrastructure, software development).
- Manages dependencies and provides program-level coordination for initiatives spanning multiple delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, product-led), ensuring cohesive execution, outcome delivery, and alignment with enterprise portfolio and PMO priorities.
- Leads the planning and execution of enterprise-wide solution deployments, ensuring alignment with business operations in corporate and field environments
Stakeholder and Change Management:
- Engage with and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive
- Partners with the executive sponsor to communicate program goals, objectives, and potential outcomes.
- Leads regular interactions with the executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate, and maintain alignment with the shared vision for the program outcome, including escalation and resolution of risks and cross-functional dependencies.
- Communicates program status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
- Develops and executes organizational change management strategies to support adoption, engagement, and training across impacted teams.
Resource and Financial Management:
- Lead and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects to optimize program outcomes, considering the diverse requirements of Infrastructure, Applications, and Security initiatives.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
- Manage program budgets ranging from under $500,000 to $30 million, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to executive leadership.
Risk Management and Quality Assurance:
- Drive the delivery of program outcomes
- Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the program, including adherence to IT PMO standards and compliance with regulatory and security requirements.
- Proactively address issues and obstacles to minimize disruptions across the program.
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure program and project deliverables are created and meet or exceed established standards
- Drive the delivery of program outcomes
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job
- Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7-10 years in diverse roles with increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large, complex, cross-functional IT programs that include Agile, Waterfall, and product-led work.
- Strong experience in budget management and financial reporting for programs.
- Experience with organizational change management, including communication planning, stakeholder engagement, training programs, and impact analysis.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Familiarity with various project and program management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall with experience managing mixed-methodology program
- Strong track record of deploying programs across geographically dispersed environments, including field-based operations.
- Excellent communication and demonstrated interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and business audiences.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to influence at all organizational levels..
- Proficiency in program and project management software such as Smartsheets, Jira, or similar tools.
- Experience in the collision repair, automotive services, or distributed operations industries strongly preferred
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- SAFe Agilist or Agile certification is required, and PROSCI or equivalent change management certification is preferred
Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.
- Hybrid role- at least twice a week in the Elmhurst office

Compensation Details:
$140,000 - $160,000 / Year
Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
Supplemental Pay:
This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
