Entry Level Plumbers

Employment Type: Full-time

The Pay: Our entry level plumbers are paid a competitive hourly rate based on experience. We also give commissions based on revenue goals, split scrap metal cash between our team, offer bonuses, and have a pretty sweet retirement and benefits package. Skilled journeyman plumbers can make upwards of six figures at Gerard, so growth opportunity is certainly a reality here. Entry level and early career plumbers typically earn between $15-$25/hour depending on experience and capabilities.

The Type of Work: Gerard Plumbing and Heating provides plumbing service, repair, and installation-primarily for residential homes with some light commercial work, as well. We provide clean, well-maintained company trucks and thoughtful logistics and scheduling. You will be working on a variety of plumbing jobs ranging from running toilets to complete re-plumbing and sewer line replacement. We do require overtime and on-call rotations, but you get on-call incentives and a solid PTO package to recharge the mind and body.

The Resources: You will have the opportunity to work and be trained on some of the latest plumbing technologies, we provide all large tools (plumbers are expected to have their own hand tools), you’ll have multiple sets of company shirts, and qualifying technicians get a comfortable, clean work vehicle. Ongoing training is provided through class trainings and you will be supported by a family-owned business that’s been around since 1982.

The Expectations: Gerard Plumbing and Heating is looking for entry level plumbers that have a strong worth ethic and desire to learn. We want plumbers who takes pride in their work, can stick to a schedule, and who are looking to build their career and income by positively representing Gerard Plumbing and Heating’s established brand.

Requirements:

• Certified plumber
• 1 year of experience is desired
• Good work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, and climb
• Ability to stand and walk for long stretches of the workday
• Must be safety conscious and able to work around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles responsibly
• Valid driver's license is required
