Position Summary: The paraprofessional is responsible for supporting the classroom teacher and students in activities directly related to education in the classroom. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The ideal candidate possesses a belief that all students are capable of learning. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Assisting in the education and social development of students under the direction and guidance of general or special education teachers (remotely and/or in person) -Providing support for students as determined by needs -Assisting in administration of state/district wide assessments -Implementing small group instruction as directed by the lead teacher, in a variety of content areas -Maintaining confidentiality of student information -Managing student behavior under the direction of lead classroom teacher -Completing additional duties as assigned -Substitute teach as needed Equal Opportunity Employer Lawrence Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment for employees and applicants.
