Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support classroom instruction and student development in an educational setting. Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy education, math, and curriculum development.
- Support students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum or with other special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations.
- Engage in classroom management to promote a safe and productive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning objectives and assist with literacy, numeracy, and social skills development.
- Support early childhood education initiatives including toddler care, preschool activities, and Montessori methods.
- Help facilitate behavior management strategies to encourage positive student conduct.
- Assist with classroom organization, material preparation, and basic administrative tasks related to student progress tracking.
- Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to individual student needs.
- Support children in daycare or private school settings by fostering social-emotional growth and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and caregivers to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in classroom settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or special education environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience working with children with disabilities or behavioral challenges is preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education techniques including Montessori methods and toddler care is advantageous.
- Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management enhances candidacy.
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively with educators, parents, and students.
- Previous work involving literacy education, math instruction, or working with children on the autism spectrum will be considered a plus.
