What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Booth Lead - Weekend Nights position at Geotek LLC?
The Paint Booth Lead is responsible for directing the daily flow of all aspects of the Paint Booth. This includes but is not limited to the understanding of the work instructions for prepping and painting as well as training new hires in all aspects of the Paint Booth. The Paint Booth Lead will understand all metrics and ensure that all shifts understand the metrics and are keeping track of their work as required. The Paint Booth Lead will also help in any other area of the plant as needed.

Compensation:
GEOTEK's compensation model is skill-based, and starting pay levels are determined by previous experience and transferable skills. The range for this position breaks down as follows:
Level 1: $23.25
Level 2: $23.25 - $25.75
Level 3: $25.75 - $27.25
Level 4: $27.25 - $28.75
Essential Functions
- Ability to work safely around equipment, chemicals and large product. This includes keeping the work area and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
- Ability to follow quality guidelines as provided by management
- Ability to be productive and change priorities as needed. This means meeting or exceeding the metrics for the paint booth individually and help across multiple shifts.
- Painting re-paint product from Pultrusion department
- Responsible for painting product according to Geotek standards of quality
- During slow times in paint booth area, or during drying time of painted material, this person will work in Pultrusion/Secondary/Packaging/Shipping areas as required
- Responsible for Paint Booth area process improvement and efficiency
- Will support Inventory and EPA emissions reporting by timely reporting all chemical usages
- Keeping the workstation and surrounding area clean and orderly
- Make sure all safety rules are being followed
- Reports to work prepared and on time
- Supports the Mission of the organization and adheres to all company policies
- Performs other duties as directed
- Keeps supervisor informed of paint booth inventory levels
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Previous Paint experience is preferred
- Close attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
- Able to read and write the English language
- Able to work and lead with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem solving skills are essential
- Strong emphasis on quality, productivity and safety
Physical Work Conditions
Position is located on the production floor, standing for up to 12 hours a day. Work with or around power tools, loud equipment and chemicals. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally as a team lift.
