EHS Intern

Internship Type: Full-Time, Summer

Pay: $17.00 - $24.50

GEOTEK, a market leader in high-performance, engineered pultruded composite structural solutions, is looking for a high-potential, highly motivated EHS intern to support our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives. As an EHS intern, you will partner with our EHS and operations teams to support programs focused on employee safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement. Depending on the assignment, primary duties may include assisting with safety audits, conducting hazard assessments, supporting incident investigations and corrective actions, updating safety documentation, participating in training efforts, and other EHS duties as assigned.

This internship focuses on Employee Safety and EHS support, providing hands-on exposure to workplace safety programs, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with employee safety initiatives and EHS projects.
• Support workplace inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Help develop, review, and update safety documentation, procedures, and training materials.
• Partner with production and engineering teams to support compliance and process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions related to safety incidents.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and other EHS-related documentation.
  
  

Qualifications

• Open to any major; interest in safety, environmental health, or industrial engineering preferred.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Previous internship or work experience in safety, EHS, or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, including walking, standing, and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
