The Project Manager will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and safety standards.
This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Travel to job sites is required as needed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Complete project takeoffs and gather estimates from suppliers
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective execution
- Monitor project budgets and adjust plans as necessary to meet financial goals
- Coordinate with the Project Coordinator to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials
- Oversee subcontractors and installers, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
- Conduct routine job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
- Review architectural and engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance
- Communicate project updates, issues, and changes to owners, general contractors, and stakeholders
- Negotiate revisions, change orders, and contractual adjustments with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Collaborate with superintendents, contractors, and project teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow
- Conduct post-installation reviews, including light level audits when applicable
- Perform periodic safety inspections and ensure adherence to company safety standards
- Evaluate project backlog and forecast labor and equipment needs; coordinate resources accordingly
- Support other Project Managers and Estimators as needed
- Represent GeoSurfaces professionally in the field and uphold company standards and values
- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles and practices
- Ability to develop and manage project schedules and adapt to changing priorities
- Working knowledge of general construction required; sports lighting experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams
- Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD, Google Earth, and similar tools preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
