Construction Superintendent - Athletic Surfaces

Specializing in the installation of artificial turf, running tracks and indoor sports flooring in major facilities such as college and military football fields & tracks, weight rooms, fitness centers, etc., we are a well-established firm that has maintained commitment to success and increased the adoption of sustainable construction practices throughout over 25 years in this industry.

We are seeking a self-starter with experience in construction, specifically with athletic playing surfaces. Experience in shooting grades with laser is a plus but will train. Our ideal candidate will be located in the South Louisiana area, but can be located anywhere in Louisiana. Frequent and often extended out-of-town travel is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinating work between trades to ensure efficiency, safety and quality
• Supervising labor involved in full construction
• Reading and understanding architectural plans and specifications to guide workflow and team assignments
• Coordinate with project managers to track materials, plan schedules and meet deadlines
• Ordering and arranging delivery of construction materials
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and address any concerns related to installations.
• Preparing shop drawings, submittal packages and applications for payment
• Preparing project close out documents
  
  
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in operating equipment such as skid steers and forklifts
• Experience shooting grades with a laser is preferred but not required
• CDL is a plus
• Flooring experience is a plus
• Ability to interact with others (co-workers, supervisors, clients, vendors, and general public in a helpful and professional manner)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Good organizational abilities and strong time management skills
• Skilled in multi-tasking
• Detail oriented
• Able to lift 30-50 lbs
  
  
  

Requirements & Education:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
• High school or equivalent is preferred
