Description

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer with a Six Sigma Black Belt, you will be instrumental in leading complex projects in a fast paced, high mix environment, waste reduction, and quality enhancement across various organizational departments. Your expertise in Continuous Improvement, Lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles will be crucial in identifying, analyzing, and solving intricate problems that affect our business operations and customer satisfaction. This role not only demands a high level of technical proficiency but also exceptional leadership skills, as you will be mentoring Green Belts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of improvement initiatives. Whether you're conducting root cause analyses, facilitating workshops, or reporting on project outcomes, your contributions will have a measurable impact on our strategic goals. This position will be required to create, plan, and execute Lean transformation for our business operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create, lead and execute Lean Six Sigma projects to improve processes and reduce defects.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes of operational issues and inefficiencies.
  • Deploy Lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings and workshops to drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach Green Belts and project team members on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Create and deliver training materials to build Lean Six Sigma capability within the organization.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to track project success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create, sustain and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving and process optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align process improvement projects with strategic goals.
  • Prepare and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications


  • Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Extensive experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical analysis software.
  • Proven leadership and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to influence and drive changes across various organizational levels.

 

  • Proficiency in using project management software
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools, such as Value Stream Mapping and 5S.

Education/Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement or related roles.
