Assistant Manager – Restaurant Operations
Pay: $20–$24 per hour
Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead daily restaurant operations while working alongside our team on the floor. This role is ideal for someone with strong hospitality experience who enjoys both leadership and guest interaction in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines floor management with active participation in day-to-day service operations. Our managers are expected to lead by example and work alongside the team during service. The ideal candidate is comfortable supporting the restaurant in a variety of roles, including management, serving, and bartending as needed throughout the work week.
The Assistant Manager helps oversee daily operations, supports staff development, maintains service standards, and ensures guests have an exceptional dining experience. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with both front and back of house teams, and enjoys being part of the service environment rather than strictly managing from the sidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily restaurant operations and shift management
- Lead and support front and back of house staff during service
- Help train, coach, and develop team members
- Ensure excellent guest service and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the restaurant
- Assist with scheduling, inventory control, and cash handling procedures
- Operate Toast POS systems accurately and efficiently
- Work collaboratively in both management and service-related roles based on business needs
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant management or assistant management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in casual dining, fast-paced restaurants, or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of food safety and restaurant operations
- Experience with Toast POS systems is a plus
- Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Serving and/or bartending experience preferred
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to work in a hands-on environment
