Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their experience.
- Operate the Toast POS system for order processing and cash handling accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Handle food items safely in compliance with food handling regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience.
- Stay informed about menu items, promotions, and new products to effectively communicate with customers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Must be able to handle food safely and adhere to health regulations.
