What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Scrub Technician position at Georgia Vascular & Interventional, LLC?
Georgia Vascular & Interventional, LLC is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician for an outpatient vascular and interventional practice located in Griffin, GA. All procedures are performed in a state of the art outpatient center. The office hours are Monday –Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. No call and no weekends are required. This day shift opportunity provides an excellent work/life balance.
Essential Duties:
· Work alongside the Interventional Radiologist performing radiographic procedures using angiographic and fluoroscopic imaging.
· The technologist is responsible for pre-procedural set up, patient prep, sterile field, scrub, and circulating assistance during procedures.
· Operate C-arm imaging equipment and power injector to aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
· Fill power injector with contrast media, set flow rates, and activate injection of contrast media into blood vessels of patients, as directed by physician.
· Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients on and off the surgical table for procedures.
· Work alongside Registered Nurses and other Medical Professionals.
· Must be a team player and able to multitask.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved school. Candidate must be registered.
Education and Training:
No Interventional Radiology experience required. Applicant must be willing to train.
C-arm experience is preferred.
Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
