Job Summary

Provide support in the installation, operation and maintenance of computer systems. Position typically addresses a wide variety of applications, hardware, and networks. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Unit management, faculty, and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Users and other support personnel. This position will supervise: NA

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Install, maintain and upgrade workstation and peripheral hardware and software.

Job Duty 2 -
Analyze and resolve workstation, application, and server related problems.

Job Duty 3 -
Update desktop software/applications; maintain documentation on installed applications.

Job Duty 4 -
Provide users with assistance in working in specific applications.

Job Duty 5 -
Participate in development of standard operating procedures.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate GTPD public safety programs, outreach requests, presentations, and educational initiatives from initial request through completion.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, campus departments, student organizations, and community partners.
  • Coordinate program schedules, locations, attendance, instructors, staffing, room requirements, and other event logistics.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating GTPD participation in campus events, safety fairs, resource fairs, tabling events, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate officer, Public Safety Officer, and instructor participation in outreach programs and events.
  • Prepare and organize outreach materials, promotional items, educational resources, and event supplies.
  • Manage communications, calendar invitations, reminders, and logistical information for programs and events.
  • Support special projects and department initiatives, including employee engagement, recognition events, and public safety campaigns.
  • Help expand GTPDs community presence by supporting accessible, organized, and engaging public safety education and outreach opportunities.
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Associate's Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Up to two years of job related experience

Proposed Salary

Rate: $15-$19.90/Hr

Temporary Parttime 19Hrs/Wk (Depending on Experience)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires knowledge of and skill in the installation and maintenance of information technology hardware and software, requiring a full understanding of industry practices and campus policies and procedures. Included are skills in problem solving, decision making, customer service, system documentation and communications.
