About the Master of Science in Urban Design

The MSUD provides focused instruction on the design of urban-scale places and their sustainable integration into social, environmental, and economic systems and infrastructure. It leverages the design strengths of Georgia Tech's School of Architecture, the planning and research strengths of the School of City and Regional Planning and interacts regularly with faculty in the Master of Real Estate Design program within the School of Building Construction.

The MSUD builds on the more than 30-year legacy of urban design instruction at Georgia Tech through the dual Master of Architecture Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP) degree. Unlike the MCRP degree, the MSUD is a design studio-oriented program that attracts more international students. This positions the MSUD well to spread the reputation of Georgia Tech's excellence in urban design worldwide.
