Job Description

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Aerospace, Transportation and Advanced System Lab is seeking a motivated and passionate full-time intern to join our team in Tempe, AZ for the summer semester. In this role, you will support our training range research and development for the Department of Defense. This will include the learning of and contributions to a variety of systems and software engineering projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to grow your technical skills, expand your professional network, and make meaningful contributions to our products. Must report in person to Tempe, AZ office.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Intern

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering and Software Engineering
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Understanding of software development principles and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and programming languages
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
  • Be able to work with a team
  • Oral and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Full-Time Intern- Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands on experience in C#, Blazor, Powershell, Bash
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Visual Studio, Gitlab, vCenter vSphere
  • Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts

40 hours per week

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
