We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Hardscape Foreman to lead crews on premium residential outdoor-living and complete backyard renovation projects. This is a 1099 contractor position with consistent full-time work for qualified professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside hardscape crews while managing daily production, quality, and jobsite safety.
- Read plans, establish layout, grades, slopes, elevations, and drainage, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Install paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, pool surrounds, natural stone, fire-feature areas, and related hardscape elements.
- Manage excavation, base preparation, compaction, cutting, edge restraints, joint sand, and final detailing.
- Operate skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, compactors, masonry saws, dump trailers, and related equipment.
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, crew assignments, customer communication, and punch-list completion.
- Protect customer property and maintain a clean, organized, professional jobsite.
Required Experience
- Substantial hands-on experience with pavers, retaining walls, natural stone, steps, grading, drainage, and base preparation.
- Experience leading crews and maintaining productivity without constant supervision.
- Ability to use laser levels or similar layout tools and calculate measurements, quantities, grades, and elevations.
- High-end residential hardscape or complete backyard renovation experience strongly preferred.
- Must have experience with outdoors fireplaces and outdoors kitchens
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to safely drive a work truck and tow, back, park, and maneuver a trailer.
- Must be able to independently and safely operate applicable construction or landscape equipment.
- English speaking, reading, and comprehension required for plans, safety instructions, equipment guidance, and customer communication.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Reliable transportation, dependable attendance, and professional communication required.
- Must provide references; project photos or a portfolio are strongly preferred.
