What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial (Games) Analyst position at Georgia Lottery Corporation?
Purpose of Job
The purpose of this position is to record the accounting transactions and analyze the financial results of all Lottery Games.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Post daily and weekly lottery game accounting transactions to the general ledger system.
- Reconcile account balances for all game-related income and balance sheet accounts.
- Financial reconciliations and analyses of sales, prize liability and profitability of all Lottery games.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals.
- Maintain a timely and accurate file of all instant game workpapers concerning prize structures and game parameters.
- Provide liaison services between Finance, Sales and Marketing on game launches and promotions.
- Perform settlement activities for multi-state lottery games.
- Responds to questions, complaints and requests for information by telephone, in person or by mail from citizens, employees, etc.
- Prepare work papers to support external audits.
- Prepares, maintains and updates files and logs following prescribed methods.
- Prepare reports for weekly/periodic distribution to GLC management.
- Performs QA testing on new games prior to launch.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; a minimum of three years of general accounting experience is required; experience in product/product line accounting and financial analysis is strongly preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Salary : $60,000 - $64,000
