What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Pastor position at Georgia Baptist Mission Board?
Houston Lake Baptist Church is seeking a full time Senior Pastor called by and under the authority of God, committed to faithfully preaching His Word, and with a heart for the lost. His role is to shepherd the congregation and provide Biblical leadership to help guide the church toward spiritual maturity, unity, and faithful Gospel Ministry.
The pastor oversees the daily adminstration of the church affairs and fosters a successful team environment with Church Council, Deacons, Church Officers, and Committees enabling them to perform their assigned roles and responsibilites. The pastor shall preform his duties, adhering to the Church Constitution, Church Bylaws, and Policies and Procedures adoped by the Church. Full shall be shown to associational, state, and denominational leaders in matters for mutual interest and concern.
Primary Responsibilites: Conducting corporate worship (preaching and prayers), discipleship, mission/evangelism, counseling, excuting the church vision, strenghening families and fostering Christian relationships
Oualifications: Effective/decisive leader, seminary attendance desired, previous pastor (or Christian Ministry) experince strongly desired, skilled at community outreach, previous missions/evangelism experience a plus
