The Opportunity
Responsibilities
The Senior Pastor is responsible for the spiritual leadership, oversight, and welfare of the church body. He will be instrumental in leading the congregation, staff, and ministry teams in a vision focused on:
- Divine Worship
- Aggressive Evangelism
- Deliberate Discipline
- Compassionate Ministry
- Preach and teach the Word of God at all regular and appointed times of worship.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the pastoral staff, deacons, and ministry leaders.
- Shepherd and counsel church members, leading in ordinances (Lord's Supper, baptisms), and conducting special services (funerals, weddings, dedications).
- Focus on continued growth for church membership through organized outreach and visitor contact processes.
- Be a role model for all members by maintaining a vibrant personal worship life and continued biblical education.
- Biblical Requirements: Must meet the biblical qualifications for an overseer as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
- Ordination: Must be an ordained minister.
- Education: A Master's degree from an accredited seminary.
- Doctrine: Must agree with the Baptist Faith and Message (amended 14 June 2023) approved by the Southern Baptist Convention.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Ministerial position.
- Availability: Must be able to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week, with 24/7 availability for congregational needs.
