Senior Pastor

Mt. Harmony Baptist Church is seeking a senior pastor to lead us into the next season of ministry to our community. The ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years of pastoral experience, has completed a Master of Divinity from an accredited seminary, and has demonstrated proficiency in proclaiming the word of God.

Mt. Harmony Baptist Church is a multigenerational congregation with many senior members and a growing pre-school program which serves the community. The candidate needs to have a heart for shepherding God‘s people and pastoral care for those walking through times of difficulty. The pastor is to be a person who loves people and is relationship oriented. He should support and foster a vision for reaching out to our existing members and to others in the community. Our pastor will build on the strengths of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, as well as create new opportunities where our church can serve God through serving the community.

Job responsibilities include

• working from his office four days a week,
• preaching the inerrant Word of God during Sunday morning worship service.,
• Teaching one Wednesday evening Bible study,
• Attending Tuesday morning men’s prayer group, and deacon meetings.
  
  

Mt. Harmony Baptist Church is located in Mableton, Georgia, a growing multi-ethnic community. It is located on the west side of Atlanta just outside of I-285 on the edge of Smyrna/Vinings, with easy access to three major interstates. Our church is one who supports its pastors, one with loyal, dedicated members who believe the word of God, and seek to tell others about Jesus.
