Responsibilities
- Spiritual Leadership: Provide sound biblical teaching and guidance to help youth grow in their faith.
- Youth Programs: Plan and lead weekly youth services, Bible studies, small groups, and discipleship programs.
- Outreach & Evangelism: Engage with students inside and outside the church, fostering relationships that encourage outreach and community involvement.
- Events & Activities: Organize retreats, mission trips, camps, and other special events to promote fellowship and spiritual growth.
- Mentorship: Provide one-on-one mentoring and counseling to students as needed.
- Volunteer Development: Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to assist with youth ministry programs.
- Family Engagement: Partner with parents to support the spiritual development of their children.
- Administrative Duties: Manage budgets, communicate effectively with church leadership, and maintain a safe, structured youth ministry.
- A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Traditional Southern Baptist theology and doctrine.
- Experience working with youth in a ministry setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to relate well to students and create an engaging, fun, and spiritually enriching environment.
- Willingness to adhere to and support the mission, vision, and values of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
