What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastor (Bi-vocational) position at Georgia Baptist Mission Board?
Macedonia Baptist Church is a rural, conservative, and mostly traditional Southern Baptist congregation located near Preston, Georgia. We are prayerfully seeking a bi-vocational pastor called by God to lead our church family forward after the recent retirement of our last pastor whose tenure was 23 years.
We are a close-knit fellowship with a deep love for God’s Word, a heart for missions, and a worship style rooted in Southern Baptist tradition with an occasional blend of modern praise music.
Our desire is to welcome a pastor who will shepherd our congregation with humility, conviction, and compassion. One with a servant's heart who will provide spiritual leadership, sound preaching, pastoral care, and community outreach, leading all volunteers with integrity. One who will work closely with church leadership in guiding the mission of our church, strengthening the discipleship of the believers, and using church revitalization principles. He will also oversee church administration in collaboration with the deacons.
We do expect our new pastor to fully embrace the Southern Baptist Faith and Message and its doctrine.
