About The Role
The Christ Covenant Institute’s Apprenticeship is a full-time role at Christ Covenant. Apprentices are supervised by the Director of Training and Development. Ministry assignments are determined primarily by the needs of Christ Covenant with consideration given to the applicant's skills, desires, and job fit. Apprentices are hired for a 2-year commitment.

During The Apprenticeship, Participants Will

The apprenticeship program is designed to grow participants in the following areas:
- Character - Deepening a love of God and neighbor through intense personal discipleship under Christ Covenant leadership.
- Convictions - Understanding God and all things in relation to God through rigorous seminary coursework.
- Competencies - Honing practical skills in leadership and ministry through real-world ministry experiences overseen by a ministry coach.
- Calling - Discerning one’s personal vocation and being deployed on a lifetime of fruitful ministry through Christ Covenant and our network of partners.
During The Apprenticeship, Participants Will
- Have a salaried staff position within one of the ministries of Christ Covenant;
- Participate in regular staff and elder meetings of the church;
- Be discipled by a leader from Christ Covenant;
- Receive rigorous seminary-level academic training;
- Experience ministry in an urban context through our Bless the City initiatives;
- Proclaim the gospel on a Reach the World global mission trip;
- Grow a ministry network by attending conferences and off-site meetings; and,
- Be deployed through Christ Covenant or one of our ministry partners.
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Manage relationships with staff, elders, and committees
- Ensure that all work efforts align with the stated staff values of Christ Covenant
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Experience: None required
