Pastor

We are seeking a pastor to lead a Bible-based church, focusing on preaching, teaching, evangelism, and pastor care, while fostering a strong relationship with the congregation and community.

New Home Baptist Church is located in Johnson County (2616 S.A. Attaway Road, Wrightsville, Ga.) We are committed to proclaiming the Gospel, nurturing disciples, and serving our community in the name of Jesus Christ. We support the missions of the Georgia Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Missions Board, and the Mt. Vernon Association.

Qualifications

• Ordained in the Southern Baptist tradition.
• A college or seminary degree from an accredited theological institution is preferred.
• Previous pastoral experience is prefered.
• Meet biblical standards outlined like 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
  
  

Responsibilities

• He will preach and teach the inerrant word of God, equipping the saints fpr ministry.
• He will provide spiritual leadership, vision, and direction for our church.
• He will be responsible shepherding and pastorial care.
• Live within a distance of Wrightsville and New Home Baptist Church (NHBC) to become or be a part of the community.
• Lead/participate in outreach. Growing the Church through community initiatives, council meetings, local events ( festivals, markets, school functions, parades, etc.) to become known to community leaders and establish a network for needs and outreach.
• We further believe in all candidates being able to make an informed decision by knowing the financial health of the church and the resources available for ministry. Accordinly, financial and congregational numbers will be provided during interviews and hiring process or at such a time that an offer is made.
